This is a listing of the outfits worn by Australia in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Changes made in other adaptations, such as the anime, are noted where applicable.
Military Uniform[]
Australia is depicted wearing a khaki uniform, consisting of a short-sleeved collared shirt with two pockets, belt, dark olive shorts, and tall khaki socks with shoes. This is most likely meant to be a WWI-era Australian Digger's uniform. He also wears a necktie that is exactly like the one worn by Wy. He is also often depicted with a boomerang in hand and sunglasses on or on top of his head. Sometimes, he has a hat strapped to his back, which appears to be a slouch hat or more likely: a Barmah hat, since it is a very popular Australian hat brand. Australia is always shown wearing an adhesive bandage over the bridge of his nose.
Halloween Costumes[]
In the 2011 Halloween Event, Australia is seen dressed as a sheep along with New Zealand and Tonga. All three are wearing fake horns in their hair. Unlike his friends' costumes, the sleeves on his look to be cut off, showing his bare arms. He also seems to have scrunchies looking like tufts of wool around his wrists.
What exactly Australia is supposed to be dressed as in the 2013 Halloween Event is unknown, but it appears to be a dark colored wetsuit with the letters RIP written across the front and a skull on the back. He is also carrying a surfboard with a skull and RIP at the top. Due to the fact that the theme of the event was for the nations to wear a costume relating to a scary story that comes from their country, he could potentially be dressed up as a surfer who perished at sea. In a bonus drawing for the event, posted on Himaruya's blog, Australia has shed the wetsuit to become naked and put a towel over his head, stating it is too hot and he wishes he could be naked all the time.
Other Outfits[]
Australia is shown being shirtless and/or in swim trunks on multiple occasions, and he seems to like being undressed.
In World Stars chapters 201-202, which show Australia being a preteen child, he is wearing a loose fitting light-colored button down shirt with the collar popped up and a dark colored vest.
