This is a listing of outfits worn by Ancient Rome in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Changes made in other adaptations, such as the anime, are noted where applicable.
Roman Uniform[]
Manga[]
Ancient Rome is depicted in his first appearance of the anime wearing a bronze-colored uniform of the Roman military. This uniform contains a combination of a breastplate and embossed lorica segmentata (segmented armor) at the shoulders. This armor is accented with four large bronze sun-design rondels at the chest, two of which secure a long red cape that he wears. Ancient Rome wears gauze around his left wrist and a forearm guard on his right. He also wears some sort of greaves, though these have never been completely shown in artwork. Underneath his armor he wears a light-colored tunic with strips of fabric over it.
Anime Variations[]
In his nonspeaking cameo in Episode 01 of the anime, Ancient Rome is shown to be wearing five roundels on his armor rather than four in the manga, and his cape was lengthened.
Modern Clothing[]
Ancient Rome makes his appearance in the main storyline strips With Grandpa Rome, Episode 32 in the anime. He is depicted wearing a simple tunic that appears to be made of three different-colored fabrics that is the same in both the manga and anime. He also is shown wearing a modern suit in the same strips and episode.
