Silly persistent fan-rumors.

So, to get on a topic other than arguments/wikia-drama, I've noticed something lately on this place. Some editors seem to really take their own fanon as canon and keep inserting it into articles, and it's become a little annoying. Especially when it comes to Philippines or Australia.

We don't really have a canon Philippines right now, just for the record. Himaruya may introduce one later this year or later on, but the maid at the conference is not her. And that "Maria Clara" name? I looked it up. It's a fan-character that originated from FFnet or so. I don't really think the Philippines would still be portrayed as a maid in modern day either, and if that maid was retconned to be any sort of nation, I think she'd be one of Spain's autonomous…

Season three!? Seriously?

I just saw Pipe's edit on the episode guide. Color me amazed, yet maybe I shouldn't be. Hetalia IS quite a moneymaker after all, but DEEN isn't known for smart decisions a lot of the time (not only with Hetalia, their track record seems to be quite controversial from what I've seen).

I want kid Romano in season three. If we can get anything of Boss Spain, the Nordics, Lithuania's Outsourcing, or some more "forgotten" strips from the two volumes we have, that would be awesome. And hopefully, if they're cutting up Lietuvis and haven't rushed the end of season 2 already, we'll see more Poland (and Baltics).

But please: No friggin' island (except if it's the strip with Seychelles). Also, they're going to include the side-stories with HRE and Chi…

Headache!

In the middle of still not feeling well and not doing very well in Geology, I see there's been more fuss here. I hope I can at least do well on the Geology final, though I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to retake that course in a semester or two. I definitely have to get through the Spanish final too, lucky that I just stick with two courses (what with all the work I get loaded down with).

I like Netherlands/Holland's design quite a bit! I see Pixiv does too, though it seems fans are debating if his hair is light brown or dark blond from that sketch. It looks kind of ambiguous to me with how Himaruya did a speed-coloring on it, I guess we'll see if he draws him again any time soon. Cameroon looks cool too, we got another African nation and…

Thoughts.

I wonder how well a general Kitayume wikia would be received, or how it may work out. I've been considering possibly starting one up, since Kitakou has been getting scanlations and more info on it has become available. There's a Japanese fanwiki for the Kitayume characters already, but it'd be fun to have something for others who can't speak/read Japanese.

One problem is that Himaruya deleted a good deal of stuff related to both Kitakou and Barjona over the years, and some trivia on the series only lives on by fans' words (such as Noto's change in personality). Looking at "Noto-sama"'s character chart, there are a number of characters that I don't really recognize from the series either. Apparently Himaruya did some games based off of Kitakou…

MoeKan scanlations + a few interesting old bits of trivia

I've been meaning to post a link to the scanlations of MoeKan, but kept getting sidetracked. Here they are, though! The scanlator has also been doing work on "Susume! Kitakou Housoubu" and assorted things related to it. A friend found the raws when I was doing image-gathering in the "hidden" files of Kitayume. They posted the raws, and the scanlator did this translation. It's an unfinished comic though, and was deleted from Kitayume itself:

Lately, it seems the old Megalodon-archived update logs at Kitayume have become a goldmine for more trivia. I've tried copy-pasting text from them to translate myself, since web translators don't work on Megalodon archived pages. Though web-translators just gave …
